Summer weather

Our temperature changes from mid winter (-30 with wind chill) to the heat waves of July (+30 with 80% humidity) are worlds apart.  Jamie remembers his tropical days in south east Asia as we pack up for another trip to the cottage to cool down in the lake.
The little ones don't mind, they adapt so quickly to their environment of sand and water.
However, the principles of the tropics apply: 1)Wake up early and get your chores done in the relative cool of the morning. 2) Midday siestas are mandatory.  3) Go slow and don't hurry anything in the heat of the day.

The morning pick of mulberries from our garden

Delicious on breakfast cereal...if they make it inside!

cottage time is spent on the beach

sailing,

 swimming,

 and boating.

At home we head for the park each morning.

Take walks at Mud Lake to see the turtles.

And sometimes we head to the cottage.

We are in summer mode!
