Lots to celebrate...

We've had a busy February and March.  Lots of decorations, preparations and celebrations.  Just as well, as we've needed the distractions from this never ending winter and mountain of marking.  A dump of snow yesterday matches the piles of midterms and essays on our desks.  It's a good thing we have Amelia and Georgia to keep us balancing work with play and a winter overdose with fun.

Amelia's card to her teacher Mme Lorraine and our Valentine's window banner.

Valentine's breakfast...

"I'm bananas for you"
(How cheesy but it's better than "you drive me bananas!)

Georgia's message to you all!

Amelia testing out her new skates on the canal.

Ice sculptures at Winterlude.

Cold walks make the afternoon all the more conducive to ...

family naps!

Princess fairy party for our wonderful friend, Andrea!

Pink cake, fairy wings and tutus for this 40th birthday...

...because you are never too old!

Even Papi got the royal fairy treatment!  We had royal porridge awaiting his 69th breakfast birthday party (he's easy to please!).

Kept the decorations up for another week and then it was Georgia's turn to party...

...in her crib for the last time!

Georgia's birthday weekend was a big girl room renovation!

She loves her big girl bed...and there is lots of tip-toeing down the hall to test this new experience!

This year is going to be a great one for Georgia...because good things come in 3!

Hot chocolate

 A visit to the farm.

 Brunch visits with our friends

Checking out the giant "snakes and ladders" at the museum of Civilization

 wait that's stairs and toboggans!

 Check out these stairs!

Then it's giant lego building time.

After dinner walks don't require flash lights and the days are getting longer.

But, the jackets are staying on for now.

It might still be winter outside...

but, inside we're calling for spring!
